Happy Gudi Padva
WHO WILL WIN
Raigad Loksabha Election
Raigad: April 9
In the midst of the political chaos and uproar surrounding the BJP in Maharashtra, it is crucial to highlight the commendable efforts and initiatives put forth by the party. Under the dynamic leadership and effective coalition government of the BJP, Eknath Shinde Shiv Sena party, and Ajit Pawar NCP, Maharashtra has experienced a wave of development that has positively impacted various sectors.
One of the most noteworthy and impactful decisions taken by the government was the move to grant women a 50% concession in ST travel. This bold and progressive step not only empowered women but also boosted the financial revenue of the State Transport Corporation, indicating the government's commitment to fostering inclusivity and gender equality.
The tenure of Anant Gite as MP and Central Minister was unfortunately marked by a lack of substantial results, with a significant portion of allocated funds remaining unutilized. In contrast, Sunil Tatkare emerged as a beacon of progress for Raigad, securing crucial funding that revitalized the district and ushered in a new era of development.
During the devastating Mahad floods, the unwavering dedication of Ekanath Shinde and Mahad MLA Bharat Gogawle shone through as they tirelessly distributed essential supplies to countless affected individuals. However, the absence of Anant Geete during the crisis raised concerns, prompting questions about his commitment to his constituency.
Amidst the havoc wreaked by the Savitri river silt in Mahad, the determined administration led by Eknath Shinde took decisive action, successfully resolving the pressing issue and alleviating the suffering of the affected communities.
Despite the relentless criticisms and scrutiny faced by the BJP in Maharashtra, their transformative initiatives and impactful decisions serve as a testament to their multifaceted efforts to promote progress and prosperity across the state. It is essential to acknowledge and appreciate the positive strides made by the BJP amidst the challenging political landscape of Maharashtra.
In a recent BJP workers rally held at Mahad, Pravin Darekar MLA, BJP, and Aditi Tatkare, Minister for Women and Child Development of the Nationalist Congress Party, were present to address the gathering. Aditi Tatkare emphasized Sunil Tatkare's significant contributions to securing substantial funds for the Raigad district, contrasting it with Geete's lackluster performance in securing funds for the constituency. "Geete appears only at the time of election to show his face and disappears for the rest of the year," she added.
Pravin Darekar also highlighted the presence of strong contenders like Sunil Tatkare under the influential leadership of Narendra Modi, envisioning a prosperous future for the nation under his guidance. He further emphasized that the BJP, under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi, launches substantial people-oriented projects aimed at promoting progress and development.
But questions remains, who will win in the forthcoming Loksabha election?

Degree Holder Teachers
Underpaid in Private Schools
Raigad: April 9
In the realm of education, the salary of teachers, especially those in private schools, has been a contentious issue. While many degree holders aspire to secure a teaching position after completing their B.Ed and D.Ed programs, the reality is that a significant number of them end up earning salaries that fall far below the minimum wage laws. This raises concerns about the exploitation of teachers in private educational institutions, particularly in permanent unaided schools.
It is disheartening to note that many qualified teachers with B.Ed and D.Ed degrees are only offered meager salaries in private schools. Despite their dedication and hard work in educating the next generation, these teachers often find themselves struggling to make ends meet. The disparity between the salaries offered in private schools and the minimum wage standards is a stark reality that needs to be addressed.
Private educational institutions are blatantly disregarding the minimum wage laws, thereby exploiting teachers who are already underpaid. The fact that these teachers are earning significantly less than what is stipulated by law is both unjust and unethical. It is imperative for the authorities to crack down on such violations and ensure that teachers are compensated fairly for their work.
Teachers in permanent unaided schools often find themselves at the mercy of the management, who take advantage of their desperation for employment. The practice of offering abysmally low salaries to qualified teachers is not only exploitative but also reflects a lack of respect for the profession. Teachers deserve to be remunerated adequately for their expertise and dedication to nurturing young minds.
Many parents struggle for their child's education and admission. After completing one year B.Ed and two year D.Ed curriculum everyone hopes for a job. But it is a fact that many students in the state do not even get paid as much as the minimum wage act from private schools after graduation.
It is true that many students come out with such degrees in the state, but not all of them get jobs in government schools. Many of them work in schools of private educational institutes.
The Minimum Wages Act is the very rule being trampled by the educational institutions. Even daily wagers now gets Rs.400 to 500 per day. These teachers who are working here for 8 and 10 hours are getting only 200 to 300 rupees per day except for four Sundays in a month.
In today's inflationary days, the question arises as to whether this salary means that the management is making fun of graduates. Not only the work of teaching in the school, but also the work of taking exams, maintaining the school record, participating in various activities are being done by these teachers.
In conclusion, the issue of underpaid teacher in private schools is a pressing concern that needs to be addressed promptly. Teacher play a crucial role in shaping the future of society, and they deserve to be compensated fairly for their invaluable contributions. It is high time for private educational institutions to adhere to the minimum wages act and ensure that teachers are paid a wage that reflects their qualifications and dedication.
